For ages: 13 - 17

There are many ways to be an activist: creating petitions, making phone calls and attending marches are just a few. Writing and art are also ways to speak out against injustices.

In this workshop, explore your activist self through poetry, song, short fiction, creative non-fiction, and mixed media. On the final day of class, a reading will be held to share the work made.

The instructor will also share markets to submit your work for publication. (You never know how someone may connect with what you have written and be inspired to take action themselves!)
